Four colleagues found themselves in York, which has a chilling reputation for being the most haunted city in England. After a day of exploring the cobblestone streets and historic sites, they decided to relax and enjoy dinner and drinks at a local restaurant renowned for its ghostly charm, situated in a centuries-old building.

The restaurant's dimly lit interior, with antique decor and flickering candles, set an eerie mood. As they dined, they couldn't help but overhear whispers from locals about an award-winning York ghost walk. Intrigued, they joined the ghost walk after their meal, guided by a cloaked figure. The guide shared spine-tingling tales of the city's haunted past, but one story stood out – the tale of a restless spirit that roamed the local hotels.

After the tour, the four colleagues retired to their rooms, but they soon heard faint footsteps in the hallway, growing nearer. The doors slowly creaked open, and there, bathed in an eerie, bone-chilling moonlight, was a figure that seemed all too real, standing there with hollow eyes and an unsettling smile.
